Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday (July 9, 2026) introduced the formation of a seven-member committee headed by retired Supreme Courtroom choose Ranjana Desai to arrange a draft for the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) within the State.

The opposite committee members of the panel embody former excessive court docket judges R.C. Chavan and S.G. Mehare, Maharashtra ex-chief secretary D.Okay.
