A Delhi courtroom on Wednesday (July 8, 2026) prolonged the judicial custody of two accused, together with the alleged kingpin and a training centre founder, until July 11 within the NEET paper leak case.
The alleged kingpin P.V. Kulkarni, and Renukai Profession Centre (RCC) founder Shivraj Raghunath Motegaonkar had been produced bodily earlier than Particular Decide Ajay Gupa within the afternoon.
The CBI sought their judicial custody extension until June 11, which Decide Gupta allowed.
Mr. Kulkarni, a local of Latur, Maharashtra and a website professional in chemistry, was a part of the panel that set the NEET query paper for years. He was arrested final month in Pune in reference to the NEET-UG paper leak and later remanded in judicial custody.
Mr. Motegaonkar was arrested in Might in Latur, and through searches, the company claimed a leaked query paper from the examination held on Might 3 was recovered from his private cell phone.
The CBI alleged that he was an energetic member of the organised gang concerned within the leak and circulation of the NEET-UG paper, and “performed a key position in circulating the query paper and solutions by his teaching centre”.
The company has arrested 13 accused individuals within the case, all of whom are in judicial custody.
On Might 12, the Nationwide Testing Company cancelled the Nationwide Eligibility cum Entrance Check (Undergraduate), or NEET-UG, held on Might 3 for medical admissions amid allegations of paper leak.
A re-exam was then held on June 21.
