Vijayawada:Three international consultants inspected the irrigation challenge works at Polavaram on Monday, as a part of a three- day inspection.
The consultants, together with Sean Hinchberger, David B Paul and Gian Franco Di Cicco, arrived on the challenge website within the morning, marking their sixth spherical of inspections. They inspected the upcoming earth-cum-rock-fill dam Hole-1 Hole-2 works, the D-Hill and G-Hill works, the development of upstream and downstream parts of the ECRF, the D-wall, dewatering channel, rock fill and clay inventory areas.
A presentation was made by the guide firm AFRY on the designs of sure elements of the challenge.
On Tuesday, the consultants would assessment the ECRF Hole-2 sand attain, availability of development supplies and different points. The subsequent day, they’d examine and assessment the development plan of the ECRF dam, spill channel therapy works, method channel and different associated elements.
The consultants had been accompanied by senior officers from the central water fee, central soil and supplies analysis station and the Polavaram challenge authority as additionally from the AP water assets division.
